Aromatherapy & The Empty Nest: Best Essential Oils That Really Help!
And so, after over 30 years of child rearing, my youngest son has gone off to university - and we ...
A study at the Medical University of Vienna finds that the two aromatherapy essential oils they studied, Orange and Lavender, reduce anxiety.
There are two other aromatherapy oils I often recommend for reducing anxiety, one works particularly well with reducing anxiety in children.
One of the most wonderful aspects of aromatherapy as a self help technique is to create the exact right blend for the exact right purpose - and when you get your aromatherapy essential oil recipe right, wow, what a difference that makes!
Spring has sprung. I've got the door open in my conservatory and I'm writing a new book. Within the spate of fifteen minutes, three really big buzzies came in through the open doors and each time I had to get up and steer them back outside. Time to bring forth the crystal bead curtain! And here starts an adventure into aromatherapy and energy that is so simple, practical and such good fun, you might as well call it magic :-)
And so, after over 30 years of child rearing, my youngest son has gone off to university - and we have an empty nest! I was really surprised how hard this hit me. Until it happened, I must admit that I thought the empty nest syndrome was a bit of joke, surely parents celebrate for all they're worth when the kids leave home for good ...?
But what I found was that it was a hard core actual bereavement situation I found myself in. At the very least, an enormous change that impacts everything in life. Thank God for the blessing of aromatherapy essential oils that have such a profound impact on the emotions. Here are my best tips for essential oils for the empty nest syndrome.
A teacher wrote in and asked about using aromatherapy in school with children in class, to aid learning, lessen stress, and in tests and exam situations, which essential oils work best and which blends.
Here are my recommendations for using aromatherapy in learning and remembering for children; and also an additional article on which essential oils to use for mature students to improve studying, learning, memory and recall of the studied materials for tests and exams, and even, later on in life should they ever need to remember beyond the exam.
Brain balancing is held to be extremely important for full cognitive functioning, and also for physical and mental health, and most importantly, to balance the energy system.
Here is a simple and really interesting way to "blow your mind" with aromatherapy essential oils and achieve real brain re-balancing.
Energy system running too hot? Creating hot flashes or hot flushes?
Here is a cool aromatherapy 4 menopause overheating tip that really works wonders.
Essential oils produced from organically grown plants are much more expensive than those produced from generally farmed plants.
In this product test I'm comparing Bergamot essential oil in both version to discover whether the higher price for organic essential oils is worth it - or not.
Pennyroyal is much maligned as being oh so dangerous – this is the same old story again about all the essential oils. It is no more dangerous than aspirin, which is sold freely over the counter, and in aroma energy work, we don’t take it internally nor do we even put it on our skin so that’s triply safe then.
With that out of the way, Pennyroyal, a member of the mint family, has some exquisite and extraordinarily useful energetic effects and actions.
I started to search the three – Salvia Lavendulifolia, Spanish Sage; Salvia Officinalis, Wild Sage; and Salvia Triloba, also known as Sage Triloba.
As soon as I put in the word “Salvia”, the search engine exploded with references to Salvia Divinorum, of which, I admit, I hadn’t heard a thing.
It is actually quite difficult to compare prices amongst aromatherapy essential oils. A bottle of Valerian might cost ten pounds, or twenty - but read the small print and there may be only 5ml in a 10ml bottle, or 3ml in a 5ml bottle.
But what is a milliliter when it is at home? How many drops are in a milliliter? I've calculated a price "penny per drop" for some of the most popular aromatherapy essential oils to give us a bit of a guideline in this minefield of sizing and pricing.
Artemisia Absinthium and Artemisia Afra essential oils are very powerful energetic devices that can do a lot for you in aroma energy work.
But it might be you've never heard of them ...?
We have added a small black magic bottle and a large animated bottle for black/dark websites upon request of Ariadne who said:
The other day, I got a link request from http://www.justaromatherapy.co.uk and went to check them out.
The site looked nice and inviting and I was short of some essentials so I decided to take the leap of faith and do another aromatherapy product/site review.
Aromatherapy in hospital - which aromatherapy essential oils I chose to take with me to hospital, for moral support, to aid healing, but also for protection from the many disease thoughtfields and negative energies you would find in a hospital.
I heard a report yesterday that 21% of the general adult population had tried some form of aromatherapy. Aromatherapy draws people strongly towards it, being the most popular choice for alternative or complementary treatment and healing, but the amazing thing about this is that people have the LOWEST expectations of actually getting over their troubles with aromatherapy, as a study by Professor Suzanne McDonough of the University of Ulster shows.
Just one week left to go – and I’m really looking forward to giving my Aroma Energy workshop presentation at the ET08 conference!
It’ll be delightful, to say the least, to share my wonderful experiences with working with the energies of these radiant nature gifts in small bottles with the conference crowd.
An interesting story I came across the other day was a reference that using Helichrysum essential oil was particularly good for “repairing the holes in the aura caused by tattoos”.
Here are some thoughts on the topic and an easy technique to use Helichrysum (or any other essential oil of your choosing) to heal injured ereas and thus, close up the holes in the aura.
It is true – I’ve been through a few things in my time. But little has delighted me as deeply as my journey into the aromatherapy essential oils and their effects on my moods, my energy levels, my creativity and general wellbeing.
In fact, I’ve enjoyed it so much, and I’m enjoying it so much still, I’m going to blog about it!
